North Kashmir is known for a traditional dessert called Tosha, which finds its roots in Sufi culture of Kashmir. It is made of flour with ghee, poppy seeds and dry fruits used to give a unique flavour.
Sindhi Tosha too are made in varying ways. Some use beaten curds while other use milk to knead the dough. Some add pepper and shahi jeera while others don't. Some add sweetened milk while others add sweetened water in the dough.
Tosha sweet is a 100 years old recipe from Fazilka, Punjab. You can call it cousin of Gulabjamun 🤤
